Planning, Preparation and Execution
Our video production process has been honed to ensure efficient use of our clients’ time while providing our team with the materials we need to successfully tell your story in a compelling video.
With the many moving parts and detailed aspects of video production, it’s important to have a well-thought-out plan in advance of the actual filming. Our video production team collaborates with you during the planning phases, gathering information, establishing schedules and handling the details that make the difference between a good video and a great video.
With details handled and a plan in place, our team is ready to film and ready to create a video that makes your audience pay attention.
The initial phase of video production begins with getting to know you, your brand, the story you want to tell and the audience you want to reach. We chat with you and your team, either in-person or over the phone, to determine your goals and build a better understanding of your company, brand and core messaging.
From here, our team will brainstorm the narrative and imagery that will best help you achieve your goals for the video. During this phase, we often conduct preinterviews with individuals who will be featured on cameras to take a deeper dive into potential themes and messaging. We’ll also scout locations, identify the equipment we’ll need to successfully film your video and create shot lists and storyboards.
To ensure a smooth video shoot, we’ll also create a schedule that includes when and where we plan to capture all video and audio. With this plan in place, your time can be used efficiently and we will have a clear guide to follow for filming.
By putting significant effort into preproduction planning, we ensure every detail is covered and your valuable time is spent well – and that you have a high-quality video at the end of the production process.
Through the preproduction process, you will likely have gotten to know our video team and will have a good idea already of what to expect during production. Before our production crew arrives for filming, you will have received a schedule for the day as well as instructions for preparing your workspace and employees for filming. People who will be appearing on the camera will have received separate information about their role during filming.
Our production team will arrive before filming begins to set up, and stay after it is done to ensure the space we were working in is tidied up. We work efficiently and respectfully, recognizing that in many situations they are working in a functioning office setting as people give of their valuable time to participate in filming.
Before, during and after filming, our team is committed to collaborating with you, engaging in open communication as we execute a plan to create a video that impresses.
When filming is completed, our team takes the visual and audio elements we’ve captured and brings them together as your full video. During our editing process, we tackle the details that will make a difference to how your audience perceives you. Color correction, adjusting audio levels and incorporating graphic elements can all affect how well your audience pays attention and how much they are impacted by your message.
Once you have viewed your video and approved it, we can package it to meet the specifications of whatever media you plan to use it on, whether a digital or traditional platform. We will provide you with files, but can also directly deliver the files to a TV station or other organization as needed.
We have the creative minds to help you tell a strong video story, but we also have the technical abilities to put it together right and get it properly in front of the people who need to see it.
