A Strategic, Collaborative Approach To Preparation
A serious approach to video preproduction means a better production experience for everyone. With our preproduction process, the details are taken care of in advance so on the day of the shoot, we can all focus on the filming. With a strong plan and a detailed schedule in place, it’s far easier to capture the strong content needed for a compelling, impactful video.
Pre-interviews
As part of our approach to video production, we believe in gathering as much information as possible early on in the process to help make the story strong and the filming go smoothly. By conducting pre-interviews in advance of the real shoot, we are able to help shape questions to be answered on-screen, identify compelling information or storylines that can help strengthen the video and also ensure that all the bases are covered for the day of the actual video filming.
Scouting
Having the appropriate setting for filming is about more than just attractive scenery. It also means having a spot with minimal noise pollution, the right lighting (or the opportunity to adjust it) and as little chance for interruption as possible.
For some videos, this may mean a studio. For others, it might mean scouting out the best spot on a downtown street or finding the best room in your office for filming.
Our team will scout locations for filming, using their creative perspective and technical knowledge to plan out filming locations and itineraries to optimize your time and the quality of your video.
Preproduction documents
To help us gather information and best prepare the story for your video, we will often provide clients with questionnaires for themselves, employees or anyone else they would like to have input into the video messaging. Our standard questionnaires are customized for each video project, helping us to fully and efficiently delve into a brand’s message and goals.
